As crazy as my summer has been with my practicum, I honestly did not allot myself enough time to create a blog post for this month. Last month there was a great deal of civil protest and unrest. I do believe that authors, and any public figure, has a right and a responsibility to use their platform to promote change and further humanity. That being said, I decided not to post anything related to that.

This is not to say that I do not have an opinion on what is happening in the world. I do. But people who demand answers when they are angry rarely listen to the answer and the explanation behind it. I want to encourage having a discussion, but in the heat of emotions is not the time to have it.

I hope everyone on both sides of the argument are staying safe. I’ll be back next month with a more writing related post.
